WELCOME!

We are a friendly Golf Society, based in Bicester, made up of friends and colleagues who all enjoy a good day out, a laugh and a social gathering. We play at various courses in and around Oxfordshire, and are always keen to try new locations.

We play approximately once every 6 weeks, and hold charity days to raise money for local good causes.

Originally formed at Bicester Town Football Club (hence our name!), we are now based at The Ashton Club in Sheep Street, Bicester, who kindly provide a meeting room as well as a buffet on match days.

CHARITY

Bicester Town Football Club Golf Society (BTFC Golf Society) held a fundraising golf competition at Whipsnade Golf Club and raised just under £2000 for Dementia UK.

Money was raised through donations, a raffle and hole sponsorship.

Every golf society captain chooses a charity to fundraise for, and captain of BTFC Golf Society Paul Pontefract, chose Dementia UK.

He said: “My mum has dementia, and a close friend of mine from the society is helping his wife look after her mother who also has it.

“Since the fundraising event in Whipsnade a couple of the lads have come forward and told me some of their family members have it too.”

There will be a check presentation this Saturday at Hadden Hill Golf Club, where a representative of Dementia UK will receive the gift.
